Yoga is a practice that works the body and mind in an integrated way and for this purpose postures (Asanas) and breathing techniques (Pranayama) are used that help us to be in the present moment.

Meaning of Hatha Yoga:

‘Ha’ represents the esoteric sun and ‘tha’ the moon. The practice of Hatha Yoga aims to unite or balance these two energies. However, in a more literal way, Hatha is a word of Sanskrit origin that means “strength.” Therefore, it is more traditionally defined as “the yoga of force”, or “the means of achieving a state of yoga through force”.
